TVO. Round and symmetrical

TVOntario is an educational television network and media company serving the province of Ontario. The company had used the logo from 1975 to 1992.

In my opinion, creating a strong form from the letters “TVO” is not very difficult, but here they managed to achieve more — captivating with the power of a single graphic technique and packaging it into a symmetrical composition. However, readability was sacrificed, which could have been critical for a large company.

On a social media avatar, this logo would work better than many modern ones.
